Medical & dental: business funding
Clinics buy expensive equipment, build out regulated spaces and wait on insurers and patients to pay. Here is how practices usually fund that, and what lenders look at.
- One application, several lenders
- No credit pull to see your options
- No fee to you, ever
Common funding needs
- Imaging, dental chairs, lasers and other clinical equipment
- Leasehold improvements for a new or expanded clinic
- Working capital while insurance claims are paid
- Buying into or acquiring a practice
What usually fits
Products that usually fit
- Equipment financing for clinical equipment.
- Term loan for build-outs and expansion.
- Line of credit for timing gaps on insurance payments.
- Government-backed loans for leasehold improvements and equipment, if you can wait.

Illustrative example
A worked example
A clinic finances $120,000 of equipment over 5 years at an illustrative 7–14% a year. Payments come to about $2,376–$2,792 per month, or $142,569–$167,531 in total.
Many clinics compare that monthly payment with the added appointments the equipment makes possible before they commit.

Underwriting
What lenders look at
- Monthly deposits, including insurance and patient payments
- Time in practice and at the current location
- Ownership structure (professional corporation, partners)
- Existing equipment payments
- Owner credit; some lenders also ask for proof of licence to practise
Honestly
Who this is not for
- Personal expenses or consumer financing for patients: we only refer business financing
- Buying a practice with no plan for how it pays back: bring the numbers first
- Short-term, expensive money for long-lived equipment
If borrowing does not make sense, we will say so.

FAQ
Medical & dental funding questions
Do you arrange patient financing?
No. We only refer business (commercial) financing for the practice itself.
Can a new clinic get equipment financing?
Sometimes, yes. Equipment lenders may consider newer practices, often with a down payment. Government-backed loans can also cover equipment and leasehold improvements.
Do lenders need to see patient information?
No. Lenders look at business bank statements and financials. Do not send patient records.
Can I finance used or refurbished equipment?
Some lenders will, depending on the equipment and the vendor. Tell us what you are buying.
